Hm.... based on your description, I think she's a Lilim/Nephilim mix (Drake is a Lilim, btw, and Helena is descended from Nephilim). Lilim are very airy, and many can fly (with or without wings), and are often very sexy (being offspring of Lilith will do that to ya). Nephilim are kinda watery, and often have fancy wings, but cannot fly (Nephilim are descendants of the fallen choir of angels known as the Grigori). Reesa gets the best of both worlds! Go Reesa!

So she's a brunette under the blonde? Is she a pretty dark brunette, or kinda on the fair side? Either way, I think the blonde suits her best.

Does she prefer to fly about rather than walking?

She's purple-toned from head to foot, but she's something of a rebel, so she dyed her hair blonde. Meaning, her hair is purple too - darker than her inner ear/wings - and also her lips and eyes - she just likes green, and I can't draw eyes either.

Why is it that I get insecure whenever I show my work off?

Anyway. If she's to be made into a separate race, then the race is all variations of purple and purple/blue. Also any combination, i.e. the skin might be dark while the inside of the earwings is light. If she's a stand alone, then she's pretty monochrome - black hair and black eyes. (It's my personal opinion that brown hair and purple skin wouldn't look that nice together - maybe you'd be able to prove me wrong, since it's just a concept sketch for you.)

About flying - she walks. She's too watered down to be able to fly, her bones are too human (heavy) by now.
